"CITY WINDOWS" Photography Exhibit by Walt Ireton, OZLAND ART GALLERY - October 2014
Walt Ireton has been a professional photographer since 2005 and lives in Germany. His passion is nature, street, travel and macro photography. The photographs for his "City Windows" exhibit were shot on the streets of Enschede, Netherlands. Shop windows have a special kind of virtual reality for Walt. Professionally designed eye catchers, that use any kind of psychological tricks to attract your attention – but most of us just walk by without noticing.
Walt is exclusively exhibiting in Second Life. This virtual reality with its avatars is a perfect place to present this show, because the mannequins in these photos almost take the place of universal avatars, coming to life by interacting with the real world in the reflection of the window in front of them. The parallels between their artificial reality and second life are amazingly obvious.
Come visit the OZLAND ART GALLERY the month of October and view these wonderful pieces of art. Make sure you take home the FREE Gift that Walt has made specially for visitors to the exhibit.

Sonoma Sandalwood's "Fencing in Beauty" Macro Photography - April 2014
Ms. Sandalwood works out of her private home studio in Texas. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Fine Art Photography.
She is inspired by the abstract works of photographers Minor White and Eliot Porter, as well as the works of Imogen Cunningham, Edward Weston, and others. She tends to look for the small points of beauty hidden all around us.
As a fine art photographer, her current focus is macro abstract photography - or capturing those small points of beauty most never notice. From the wonderful patterns in nature, to a crack in the wall which unexpectedly turns out to be more than what meets the eye, beautiful abstracts are everywhere.
Visit Sonoma's Macro Fence Photography exhibit at the OZLAND Art Gallery for the month of April and make sure you take home the free gift that she has for guests who visit this exhibit!

Van Caerndow's "World Traveler" Paintings on Glass at the OZLAND Art Gallery - March 2014
"I paint on glass as a window to the worlds in my imagination"Van Caerndow has developed a style of painting on glass using a French water based craft paint called Pebeo, which is designed for glass and ceramics. After painting is done he bakes the glass for 20 minutes at 325 degrees. From these finished works he signs, and numbers Giclee prints at up to 400% of the actual size.
In Second Life, Van is best known as a painter of portraits of fellow avatars on glass and he brings scanned versions in world. In rl Van is Phil Strang and as much as he loves doing SL portraits and SL scenes, he does so much more. Still lifes, westerns, sports, landscapes and real life portraits as well. In this exhibit you will see a selection of Van's travels in SL and in RL.
Visit the OZLAND Art Gallery for the month of March and make sure you take home the free gift that Van has made specially for guests who visit this exhibit!

November 2013 - Crossroads of Life - Acrylic Artwork by Elin Egoyan
Elin's acrylic paintings are very striking because of their use of bright and harmonious colors. She often tries to tell a story or represent select emotional states. Her intuition and inner emotions serve as her guide. She floats with the motion and colours of her paintings, all of which contain waves of colour and harmony bursting off the canvas.
When she came to Second Life her goal was to have her own gallery. In the 6 years she has been here her drive to make her creations better and better can be found with the merging of her artistic digital art and vases. Uniting her SLigital art and RLainting art is something she is very proud and happy about.
Come see this wonderful artist's Acrylic Painting and Vases the month of November at the OZLAND Art Gallery. Make sure you take home the free gift that she has made especially for guests to this exhibit.

"Color Play" Watercolor Paintings by Antenna Rae
The work that Antenna Rae exhibits in Second Life is mostly abstract. She is interested in color as expression and the balance or imbalance of light and dark. She often works very intuitively, sometimes not even knowing what a piece is about until she is well into it. She likes to hear what people see in her artwork and is delighted when she encounters someone with a different perspective and interpretation of her work than she had intended.
Antenna has worked as an artist in different ways over the years, starting out as a scenic artist and properties artisan for various theater and opera companies in the US. She's been painting in watercolor specifically for about 10 years and after having painted realistically for theater, enjoys working in the abstract now. In addition to painting and teaching from her studio in real life, Antenna works as an artist-in-residence in a hospital, teaches studio art and art history to high schoolers, and is in grad school part-time studying social work.
You can view Antenna's wonderful artwork the month of April at the OZLAND Art Gallery. Don't forget to pick up the FREE gift she has made for all guests visiting the gallery too.

Elbow Muggins - Don' Ration your Passion - Line Drawing Exhibit for March 2013
![]() |
| Rats versus Cats - by Elbow Muggins |
Elbow Muggins works from his home studio in the USA.
In many of his ink sketches the love he has for the impressionists comes through in their open compositions and quick, rough feel. He generally uses a Cross Ball-Point Pen as it gives him very good line control, no bleeding and wide tonal range. His drawings are most often done traditionally, then scanned and edited and or colored with art programs like Photo Shop.
When Elbow does commercial work, it's done in a medium and style best suited for the given project. Often his commercial work is photo-retouching, color correcting or manipulating to meet a client's needs and likely to be so subtle as to not know it has been worked.
Elbow has been running his SL gallery for over four years, but you can view Elbow's extraordinary artwork the month of March at the OZLAND Art Gallery. Don't forget to pick up the FREE gift he has left for all guests visiting the gallery too.

"Lost Leaf" Original Digital Paintings by Mathilde Vhargon at the OZLAND Art Gallery
Mathilde Vhargon is a former professional classical musician. She began making sculpture in Second Life and then became more focused on digital painting, which she creates using only Gimp software and a mouse or digital drawing pad. She loves the many possibilities digital software offers for creating and saving multiple versions of a piece she is working on.
Her paintings suggest themselves to her a little at a time without conscious planning. She often uses small sections of them as materials to develop into new paintings.
Mathilde dislikes sharp corners and edges, so her process usually involves blending and merging for smooth transitions, with dozens of small adjustments to produce the subtle, rich, analogous colour layering she enjoys. She loves strong colours and flowing abstract forms. You will often find ambiguous suggestions that lead the viewer to imagine various possibilities and interpretations. She is most happy when her art creates a chain of associations and questions about life and humanity. "The possibility that we might touch someone with a common connection, making them think and feel in response to our work, is the most wonderful thing about making art," she says.
You can view Mathilde's artwork at the OZLAND Art Gallery the month of February. Don't forget to take home the FREE gift she has made for all visitors.

JudiLynn India - Artist for September 2012
Controlled Chaos Acrylic Paintings by JudiLynn India at the OZLAND Art Gallery
JudiLynn India has been drawing since she could hold a crayon. She studied art throughout school, Commercial Art in high school and Graphic Design in college. After the turn of the century, she decided to focus HER creativity on acrylic and digital painting and has totally enjoyed the journey. Known in SL as JudiLynn India and RL as JUDILYNN, her mission is to share her vision and message as an artist with the global community. Her work embodies her spirit and personality. Her goal is to allow the viewer to experience the image with their own mind's eye. Her work is entirely intuitive. She gets lost in the layering of texture and color. Occasionally, she will include figurative work if her spirit is so presented with the composition. Just as there is order in the chaos of the universe, the energy within her is brought into focus one canvas at a time. You can view JudiLynn's artwork at the OZLAND Art Gallery the month of September. Don't forget to pick up the FREE gift she has made too.

HHB 1900's England Photography Exhibit by Sven Pertelson
HHB (Horace) was born in 1882 and moved to London as a teenager in 1900. He had many jobs... Builders Clerk, Carpenter and Taximeter repairer and he loved to photograph his everyday life. The HHB Exhibit in OZLAND commemorates his memory. Sven Pertelson found Horaces' glass plate negatives whilst cleaning out a family shed. Over 200 plates were recovered and Sven vowed to the family to look at them and preserve those that were not too damaged by the years of neglect. That was many years ago and now he has the equipment to do the job
This July we will remember Horace through his photographs. Sven has carefully cleaned and digitally enhanced 20 of his favorite photographs. Come back with us to 1900's England and see the world through Horace's box camera.
